It's been a sunny October...

In more ways than one. The weather has been generous, as have the sunflowers!

One packet of mixed sunflower seeds has provided a wonderful variety of flowers that we've used for both a wedding and a funeral.

The wedding had a sunflower theme for which we supplied button-holes, name places and table arrangements.

We were delighted with the feedback we received from the family who asked us to create 'something to lift the spirits' for a green funeral this month:

"Thank you so much, the bright yellow sunflowers brought a little sunshine into what was otherwise a very grey day."

Some plants grew a little taller than anticipated

And some made a smile

The last of the sunflowers are now drying on the aga, revealing their seedy bounty.

I'm hoping to make some Christmas wreaths with a difference ... watch this space.
